Amrita Rao


Amrita Rao born 17 June 1981 is an Indian model, and an actress in Bollywood.

Personal

Amrita was born to well-to-do Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin family. She has a sister named Preeta and there is an on-going debate in the media if Preeta is Rao's twin sister.She speaks English, Hindi, Marathi & Konkani.

Career

She entered the world of modelling quite by chance, when she auditioned for an advertising film for Fairever Face Cream. She was selected for the film, and since then appeared in a number of television spots for several products.

She made her cinematic debut in the 2002 film Ab Ke Baras, but gained recognition only after the success of her 2003 film, Ishq Vishk, in which her portrayal as Payal earned her the girl-next door image. Two later films, Masti and Main Hoon Na, also did well at the box office. However, her recent movies have not done as well.

Amrita Arora


Amrita Arora , born 31 January 1981 is an Indian actress.

Personal

Born in Bombay, India to a Malyali mother and a Punjabi father, she is the sister of Malaika Arora. Her brother-in-law is Arbaaz Khan.

She was romantically linked to Kevin Otter, Upen Patel and Ashmit Patel. Currently, she is dating Usman Afzaal.

Career

She made her debut opposite Fardeen Khan with the film Kitne Door Kitne Paas which was not successful at the box office. Her first successful movie was Awara Paagal Deewana. A series of flop followed, among them the controversial Girlfriend (2004) opposite Isha Koppikar, a movie about a lesbian relationship. Her latest release was Fight Club produced by Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan's brother. She appeared on the show Koffee with Karan, hosted by Karan Johar with her sister.

Her next movies will be Deha, Jeet: Feel the Force and Raakh, all to be released in 2006.

Amisha Patel

Amisha Amit Patel (born June 9, 1976, also spelled Ameesha Patel) is a Bollywood actress and model from Bangalore, India.

Personal life

Amisha Patel is the daughter of Amit and Asha Patel and the sister of Ashmit Patel. for college; she graduated from Tufts University, near Medford, Massachusetts. After graduation, she worked for a financial company, with modeling on the side. However, she eventually joined Satyadev Dubey's theatre group and began acting in plays. In 2000, she appeared in her first movie, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, as Sonia, opposite Hrithik Roshan, (son of producer and director Rakesh Roshan.)

As of 2005, her relationship with her family is strained, with Amisha accusing her parents of stealing money from her. She is currently dating director Vikram Bhatt

Aditi Gowitrikar


Aditi Gowitrikar is an Indian model and actress. She was born on January 1 1976. She was selected Mrs. World in 2001 (held on December 2000). She is also known by her married name, Dr. Sarah Muffazal Lakdawala.

Aditi Gowitrikar is a gynaecologist by profession. However, she started her career as a model after winning the Gladrags contest in 1996. She has done notable roles in many Hindi and South Indian-language films and has also done commercials with several major companies including Coca Cola. She is married to Dr. Muffazal Lakdawalla, whom she met at college. The couple married in 1998, after dating for seven years. Gowitrikar has a daughter Kiara, who was born in 1999.

Aditi Gowitrikar did her schooling in Panvel Barns school and was year 12 topper from Art Science and Commerce college in Panvel. She did her MBBS from Grant Medical college and her sister Arzoo Gowitrikar also attended the same school as her. Early life

Aishwarya Rai was born in Mangalore, in the South Indian state of Karnataka, to Krishnaraj Rai, a marine engineer, and Vrinda Rai, a writer. Her ancestors are from the Bunt community of Mangalore. Her family later relocated to Mumbai. Rai has one brother, Aditya Rai, who is three years older than she is. Aditya is in the merchant navy, and has also co-produced a film with Rai in the lead.

Her native language is Tulu ; she also speaks English, Hindi, and Tamil.

Attended the Arya Vidya Mandir at Santacruz, Mumbai, then entered Ruparel College, Matunga, Mumbai. She was an A student and was on track to become an architect.

Rai began modeling on the side while studying architecture. She was a contestant in the Miss India 1994 pageant, which she lost to Sushmita Sen but later went on to win the Miss World title that same year.

Aishwarya Rai debuted in Mani Ratnam's critically acclaimed Tamil language film, Iruvar with Mohanlal and Tabu. She played a double-role in the film. She was introduced to Bollywood by Rahul Rawail in the film, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya; the film was a poor performer at the box office. However, her third project, a Tamil-language film, Jeans by S. Shankar was a critical success. She then appeared in popular films Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) and Mohabbatein (2000). In 2002, Rai appeared with superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit in the lavishly produced Devdas, which was a major box-office success. The film attracted overseas attention as well, receiving a special screening at the Cannes Film Festival and garnering international attention.
